Brunch at Adega at the 9 -- Cleveland, OH

This year we have season tickets to Playhouse Square, so we manage to visit Cleveland at least once a month. During our last few visits we've alternated choosing a location to eat at, trying to pick a different one every time. We passed a gorgeous sign for Adega at the Metropolitan 9 and when I found out they had weekend brunch I was sold.

Our brunch libations -- mimosa and red sangria.

The reason I was so excited to try brunch at Adega was this Smothered S'mores Waffle with chocolate and toasted marshmallows. It was further improved by the addition of even more sugar in the form of syrup.

Dave ordered the Brunch Bowl which was quinoa, arugula, manchengo cheese, and an egg. Dave enjoyed this, he thought the combination of ingredients invoked a true sense of brunch -- with the mixture of lunch items and the fried egg.

As always we also selected an order of breakfast potatoes -- we both wished that we had ordered two servings, because they were just that good.

The service was great, the food was great, but for the price we were a little disappointed. Dave's brunch bowl was $12 and for the portion size at that price, we would have been better off going with something lower priced like the "Build Your Own Crepe" which would have delivered the same amount of food. Our server did offer us some deal on two drinks with an entree purchase for $26 -- we ended up going with that deal, because we were walking down to the theater and didn't need to drive.

My rating for Brunch at Adega at the 9:
