Balloon-a-Fair -- Ravenna, OH
The 37th annual Balloon-a-Fair kicked off Thursday afternoon with the downtown Children's Parade. This morning was the 90 minute Grand Parade. The event culminates at 5:30 PM tonight with the hot air balloon lift-off and firework display at Sunbeau Farm. Due to the storms anticipated later, I'm not confident that the hot air balloon lift-off will happen today. If it doesn't, you can visit Sunbeau Farm again tomorrow, there is a Sunday Worship Service, the Balloon-a-Fair Classic Car Show and another hot air balloon lift-off at 5:30 PM.
I really enjoy the Balloon-a-Fair events, especially since Dave and I are currently living in Ravenna, and I'm working here as well. So we woke up early this morning to attend the Grand Parade.

Once the parade ended, Main Street was open for people to visit the various booths and food locations throughout Main Street which remains closed for most of the day. We went over to visit Southern Thangs, who we last visited at the Taste of Akron. Today they had a funnel cake with toppings on the menu which we enjoyed for breakfast. Thanks Southern Thangs!
Until 4:30 you can enjoy the live music and booths down Main Street. After that, the party will move over to Sunbeau Farm. If the balloons lift-off this evening or even tomorrow night, I'll do my best to get photos to update this post. However, they have strict wind parameters that they need to work within for lift-off, so right now I'm not confident that they will take-off this year, but we'll see!
