New Baltimore Ice Cream -- Hartville, OH

New Baltimore has always been my favorite place to get ice cream. My parents used to take us there when we were young and the tradition of going several times throughout the summer is something that I've continued.

All of their ice cream is homemade and the flavors rotate continuously. The best way to stay up to date on their flavor options is to check out their Facebook page, they post photo updates of the menu board at each location (there are two, one in Hartville and one in Uniontown) that way if they run out of a flavor and switch to something different, you'll have the most accurate information.

We were there last Saturday and the menu has already changed quite a bit since then, but here's an example of some of the flavors. My favorite is Irish Creme, I'm going to need to make another trip to New Baltimore before the summer is over once they have that flavor in the rotation.

Something important to remember is that New Baltimore only takes cash, no credit cards. They serve incredibly large ice cream portions, so when we went each of us got a kid cone for $1.75 each.

Below is the Butter Pecan, Chocolate Chip and Strawberry. They also offer milkshakes and sundaes, although I usually go for an ice cream cone, I'm sure their other ice cream offerings are equally delicious.

New Baltimore has an awesome outside pavilion which is a nice place to enjoy your ice cream if you want to avoid the sun.

New Baltimore is just an ice cream stand, there is no indoor portion, you order at the window and then pick-up your ice cream when it's ready. If you go on the weekend during a peak time like right after lunch or dinner, there may be a line, but I promise that the ice cream is worth the wait. They're open from 12:00-10:00 p.m. daily.

Don't miss your chance to try this ice cream though, New Baltimore is seasonal, when they open and close varies on the year and the weather, their Facebook page is the best way to stay up to date on when their season starts and stops.

My rating for New Baltimore Ice Cream:
